Sandra loves to hike, read, bicycle and write. She and her husband travel throughout the United States in their motorhome where she enjoys the outdoors, plays pickleball and finds wonderful ideas for her next writing project. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra had so much fun writing LOVE'S HEALING because when the hero and heroine were surfing, it brought back fun memories of growing up on the beaches of Southern California where she surfed. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra travels often to the Grand Canyon and made a special trip to interview Park Rangers about their procedures for locating missing persons. She used that information in the hero and heroine's search for a missing child in the novella, NEW BEGINNINGS. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra worked on the Navajo Reservation training teacher assistants. Several of these women were Beta readers for LOVE'S DREAM SONG and helped her stay true to the Navajo culture portrayed within. She and her husband travel extensively on the Navajo Nation and love learning about the ancient cultures of the area. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra and her husband faced a water spout in Lake Powell. They also camped along the shores and experienced many of the same events that occur in WHERE THE EAGLE FLIES which is her novella in the Seeker Anthology WITH THIS KISS. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra traveled for a month in Spain. One of her favorite places were the beaches near Matalascanas and the Parque Natural de Donana. Her Christmas novella, A HEART FULL OF HOPE is set in this region of Spain and Stephen, the hero is a secondary character from LOVE'S PROMISES. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra and hubby owned a home at Lake Tahoe and renovations introduced her to the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency where the hero for LOVE"S PROMISES works. She knows first hand the issues the heroine, Monica Scott must face to build. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra's aunt and uncle built the house Danny, the hero in LOVE'S REFUGE stays in while on the isolated island in Puget Sound, Washington. She and her hubby visited the island and learned island life much the same way Danny did in the story. Skye's little house actually exists and Sandra just knew a story had to be set there, however she gave the island a fictitious name. DID YOU KNOW? LOVE"S MIRACLES takes place in the redwood forests of Northern California where Sandra and hubby lived while he attended Humboldt State University. LOVE"S MIRACLES won several awards. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra and hubby won a trip to New Orleans and decided to take a steamboat cruise up the Mississippi. Being a writer, Sandra interviewed the crew and hence CURRENT OF LOVE was born. Readers say they felt like they went on the cruise when they read this book. DID YOU KNOW? Sandra's hubby joined a bicycle racing club so Sandra could learn about pro-bicycle racing. Debra, in PRICE OF VICTORY is striving to be a pro-racer so Sandra met women racers and learned what Debra needed to endure to become a pro. These women were very helpful and made sure Sandra used the proper terminology. DID YOU KNOW? A FLOWER FOR ANGELA is about a teacher who is defending her new methods of teaching and professors at ASU, UCLA and UCSB used this book in their methods classes. Because of that, Sandra reprinted what was originally a Harlequin romance novel. Her father painted the roses on the cover.
