Nikita Lynnette Nichols, a Chicago native, was born in November of 1970. She attended Fort Dearborn Elementary School and graduated from the Academy of Our Lady High School in May of 1988. In 2007, Miss Nichols signed a 2-book deal with Urban Books. Her debut novel entitled, “A Man’s Worth” released in September of 2008 followed by the release of “Amaryllis” in April of 2009. Miss Nichols signed a 2nd 2-book deal with Urban Books and released her 3rd novel entitled, “A Woman’s Worth” in January of 2010 followed by “Crossroads” in March of 2011. Miss Nichols was offered a 3rd book deal with Urban Books and released “Lady Elect” in June of 2012. Each of these titles made it to the best-sellers list at Black Expressions. In late August of 2012, “Lady Elect” was nominated for “Best Christian Fiction Book of The Year” with the African American Literary Awards. Also in August of 2012, Miss Nichols partnered with movie director/producer Zelie Dember-Slack to co-write the screenplay entitled “Lady Elect” based on her latest book release. Miss Nichols became an award winning screenplay writer in June, 2013 when “Lady Elect” was a finalist for the Beverly Hills International Film Festival and in August, 2013 when “Lady Elect”, was placed among the finalists in the screenplay category for the Moondance Screenplay Competition. Her latest book titled “Damsels In Distress” released in April, 2013. Miss Nichols’ next book, “Lady Elect 2-Arykah Reigns” releases in January, 2015.
