Nathan is the author of Arcane Ocean (Self-published, 2013), the first book in the Arcane Skies Trilogy. He has been a sole practitioner of Neo-Paganism since the age of 16, and has had a long interest in communing with spirits. His knowledge and experiences as a practicing Neo-Pagan have a great influence on his writing. He has studied Wicca, Druidism, Shamanism, Vundane, and Hinduism. Nathan also plays Dungeons & Dragons, which has helped him become a better story teller. His home state of Iowa has been the setting for his current series, continuing the use of personal experience in his writing. Nathan has been a life-long lover of books, beginning with his obsession with reading the dictionary as a child which eventually led him to writing poetry in 2001. His biggest literary influences include Mercedes Lakey, Neil Gaiman and Terri Pratchett. Nathan was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and currently lives in Des Moines, Iowa.
