Mark Barnard

Mark Barnard is co-creator (with artist-animator Terrie Smith) of the comic book Havoc Inc. His various credits include work as an inker or writer on over 50 anthropomorphic comic books. He has worked under several names, including Shiel Agama, Michael Santana, David Vermiel and James Raitt.

Mark has also written and produced an original sci-fi anthology series for radio (Operation: Deep Space), contributed a number of fan pieces for anime' and fantasy publications, and recently contributed sections to a new reference book on Mexican fantasy and horror films.

He helped proofread a line of pulp magazine reprints for planned e-book release by Radio Archives. At the moment he's narrating audiobooks, including a handful for Radio Achives.

Following his graduation from college with a major in archaeology, he enjoyed a brief stint in stand-up comedy, writing his own material.

He's an avid pulp magazine and film buff (specializing in German, Japanese and Chinese films) and a photographer.

Mark and his wife Terri currently live in the wooly wilds of Kansas, where he freelances and collects netsukis and fountain pens.
