Sweet or Spicy! That's how I like my food and my stories, too. I could live on chocolate, watermelon, and banana splits, but dangle a jalapeno in front of me, and I'll bite. Goofball - That's the real me when I let my guard down. I love to laugh. There's nothing like a good laughing jag to bond a friendship. Sometimes I get carried away and bounce in my chair, bang my head on the table, or roll on the ground. I try to control myself out in public, but it's not easy. Call me Lynn, Lynnie, LynNerd, LYNN ANN (when I was in trouble!), BBH McChiller (one-third, anyways), ZomBuddy-L (ZB-L). It's all good. I'm a children's author, living out my dream. As a mother of four and grammy of five and still counting, there's no end to the stories itching to be told. Visiting schools and interacting with my readers is the icing on the multi-layered cake of writing for young people. I love 'em no matter what age, so I write picture books, chapter books, middle grade, and young adult stories. I'm having the time of my life and strive to promote reading, especially for reluctant readers. I feel bad for them 'cause they're missing out big time! Lately, I'm also writing slice-of-life pieces for grownups. Finally, in my late 50’s I learned to eat clean. Wow, what a game changer. Soon after embracing healthy living, I decided to become a health coach and am now a Master Certified Health Coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. What an amazing adventure. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Whittier, CA at age eight. She now lives in Southern California. Most of her time involves books - either writing books, reading books, or making altered art books. The highlight of her life is time spent with her grandchildren. Her first chapter book, Curse of the Double Digits, debuted in October 2012. Under the pseudonym BBH McChiller she's co-author of Monster Moon, a fun, spooky mystery series for ages 8 - 12. Book 1 - Curse at Zala Manor Book 2 - Secret of Haunted Bog Book 3 - Legend of Monster Island Lynn's short story, The Jobo Tree, won Highlights for Children's Author of the Month Award. She authored a picture book, Merry as a Cricket (WhipperSnapper Books), and is currently working on the next Monster Moon book and a young adult novel.
