Karma Monae was born and raised in Morristown, New Jersey in 1991. Growing up she always wanted to be a nurse, but spent her time writing short stories, hoping to one day have them published. After graduating high school in 2009, she worked briefly as a CNA in a nursing home, followed by secretarial work. In 2015 she signed a contract with Shan Presents, soon after releasing her debut series, 'Keyshia and Cashmere: A Jersey Hood Love Story' , followed by the spin off , 'A New Jersey Love Saga: No faces, No cases.' Currently, there are over 20 books available on amazon, by Ms. Monae and they each have sat and shook up the charts. She and her 4 children still reside in New Jersey with her now fiancé.
