So it's midnight on the day I uploaded THE STRAITJACKET OF PERFECTIONISM to Amazon, and the Kindle version is already available. (Paperback now available, too!) Pretty impressive speed to launch, Kindle dudes! I'm honored you are interested in my book, and the Perfectionism topic. While I have done a good deal of overcoming perfectionistic tendencies, it is still something that occasionally challenges me. Like when I pushed "Publish" on the upload button. Before I pushed it, I got that I-know-I'm-not-the-only-one thought ... that some screw-up was going to happen, the whole book would be lost, and I would somehow have erased the entire internet. Well, I counted down, "Three, Two, One..." and I pressed the button. Turns out, the internet still works. (Remember, in "The Terminator" movies, John Connor saves the world from SkyNet and all the machines. So yeah, you're WELCOME!) While the Kindle launched fine, I needed to fix a little error I made on the title page. I took a few breaths, figured it out, and tried again. And that is one of the ways we go toward our goals, small and big -- by not panicking and getting paralyzed by fear of getting it wrong. Keep taking steps forward. You really can do it.
