Author Gesine Schulz has a penchant for slightly overgrown bookshelves & gardens. She lives in the Germany's Ruhr area, but also enjoys spending time gardening, reading, and writing in Ireland, the setting of her well-loved book EINE TÜTE GRÜNER WIND, now in its 25th edition. English edition: THE GREENEST WIND – A SUMMER IN IRELAND, translated by Rebecca Heier. Gesine, grandniece of a London butler, also published the series GLÜCKSKATER DARCY, six novellas which are set in England: Until well into the summer, all sorts of people give temporary shelter to a cat. When he moves on to find his way back home something has changed in those people's lives. For the better. By chance? Or did Darcy have a paw in it? In her series of crime stories Gesine Schulz writes about the (not always clean) cases of Karo Rutkowsky, out-of-work teacher, moonlighting cleaning lady and chronically cash-strapped private detective.
