Thank you for your interest in my books! I love to write action-packed vigilante justice thrillers that dig into the seedy underbelly of society. I try to create characters that live and breathe on the page, and surprise you rather than always fitting into a stereotype. I believe there is some good and evil in everyone, and my characters, both the good guys and the bad, struggle with that dichotomy. I also strive for gritty realism in my settings, shying away from the glamour and bright lights to dive deep into the back alleys and mean streets. My stories have been called a cross between Jack Reacher and Sons of Anarchy, a comparison that I don't refute though I'm always striving to break free of any such classification I live in Southern California with my wife, Stephanie, and our English Mastiffs. I enjoy exploring the back-country of the desert southwest and tinkering on old Ford Broncos. I appreciate good cigars, better food, and great beer. I've had a lifelong interest in history, and am a proud brother of E Clampus Vitus, a society for preserving the history of California and the West. My professional background is in marketing, having worked for many years in the RV and automotive aftermarket industries. The Austin Conrad thrillers are my first published works of fiction.
