David Lake's incarnations include Scientific Research and the Music Industry. Both of these disparate elements are present in TEARS OF GLASS, a conspiracy thriller which is based on real events, but processed through the perceptions of a slightly cynical lover of old music classics. Lake's love of the seventies music which changed the way we lived our lives and related to each other. is evident throughout his writing. Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, The Stones - all feature in verbal brush-strokes at nodal points in the storyline. He even introduces a singer/ songwriter into the narrative, Paul Millns, a Bafta winning songwriter who has at least twelve albums to his credit as well as covers by Elkie Brooks and Bonnie Tyler. Having published ' The world's first interactive book,'- Publishing News; Lake is delighted that it is now available in eBook format. Print and Audiobook editions. The screenplay is in development as Irvin Kershner, the Director of Empire Strikes Back wanted to make the movie as the themes of dark forces controlling the lives of the common man resonated with his philosophy. Lake lives with his family near London.
